Ben White
Director of Policy / Early-onset CRC Cancer Survivor
Ben White is Fight Colorectal Cancer’s Director of Policy. In this role, he leads the organization’s policy and advocacy strategy, advancing bipartisan policies focused on colorectal cancer prevention, screening, research, access to care, and health equity. He works closely with lawmakers, federal agencies, coalition partners, and patient advocates to elevate colorectal cancer as a national public health priority and ensure patient perspectives remain central to health policy discussions.
Ben brings both professional expertise and personal experience to his advocacy. As a Stage III early-onset colon cancer survivor, his commitment to improving outcomes for patients and families affected by cancer is deeply personal. Diagnosed with colon cancer at age 26 while serving as a Naval Aviator, Ben’s diagnosis ended his first career and ultimately inspired his transition into cancer advocacy and health policy. Before joining Fight CRC full time, he worked for several cancer-focused nonprofits and spent a year writing regulations in support of Medicare quality programs.
Ben holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and communication from UCLA and a Master of Public Policy from George Washington University. He is currently in the candidacy phase of the Health Policy PhD program at the Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington University, where his dissertation research focuses on disparities in outcomes following the lowering of the colorectal cancer screening age.
